Josi and Phoenix’s wedding at Chimney Pond Farms in Glenville, North Carolina, was one of those days that just felt like a good time from beginning to end. It was a warm July Friday, just before the July 4th holiday, and the whole day had such a fun and relaxed energy.
These two were so much fun to work with. From getting ready to spending time with their friends and family, the day never felt overly planned or stressful. It was really about being together, enjoying the people around them, and celebrating the start of their next chapter.
I photographed their wedding on both film and digital, which was a perfect fit for the day. Film added that timeless, nostalgic feel to the photos, while digital allowed me to capture all the little moments happening throughout the day. I love having both options at weddings because they each bring something different to the final gallery.
The day was filled with their closest friends and family, plenty of laughs, and a lot of time spent simply enjoying each other. And once the dancing started, things really picked up. The dance floor was one of my favorite parts of the night — everyone was completely into it, and there were so many fun moments to photograph.
Chimney Pond Farms was also a beautiful setting for the wedding. Being surrounded by the mountains and the natural landscape of Glenville made for a great backdrop throughout the day, from the couple portraits to the celebration with their guests.
Looking back at Josi and Phoenix’s wedding, what stands out most is how much fun everyone was having. It felt genuine, relaxed, and full of the people who mattered most to them — exactly the kind of wedding day I love documenting.
If you’re planning a wedding in Glenville, Cashiers, Asheville, or anywhere in Western North Carolina, I’d love to photograph it for you. I photograph weddings on both film and digital, focusing on the real moments, the people, and everything that makes your wedding day yours.
