There’s something truly magical about a proposal—especially when it’s set against the timeless beauty of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. I had the absolute honor of photographing Anna and Austin’s surprise engagement, and it’s one of those moments that will stick with me for a long time.

Austin had it all planned out: a quiet walk through the estate gardens, a perfect spot with a view of the mansion, and the ring burning a hole in his pocket. The day was golden—warm light, just the right amount of breeze, and spring flowers blooming like they were in on the plan.

Anna had no idea. That’s what made it perfect.

As they strolled up to the chosen spot, Austin paused, took her hand, and dropped to one knee. Her expression shifted from curious to completely stunned in the most beautiful way.
